Kicking Off Summer- A Chocoholic’s Guide

The heat is on!

It’s a frustrating time of year for the chocoholic.  All of our favorite things are melting around us.  But, don’t fret.  This summer, you can have your chocolate, and beat the heat, too. Here’s how:

Smooth on a Cocoa-Kissed tan, without the harmful rays of the blistering sun.

Use a self-tanner, such as Chocolate Sun.

Slip on a pair of Chocolate Fudge Brownie Flip Flops.

Make a splash with a Chocolate Ice Cream Float.

Then, dry off with a luxurious Golden Wonka Towel.

Cool off with an Iced Chocolate (recipe by Taste and Tell Blog).

And refresh your palate with Chocolate Salted Watermelon Wedges.

Cheers to Chocolate in Summer!

Friday the 13th

Superstitious about Friday, the 13th?  Worried there’s an evil black cat somewhere out there, plotting an evil plan against you?

image

You have reason to be concerned. Check out these black cats, and the trail of chaos and horror they have left behind.

Beware!  The black cats are coming!

image

They’re climbing on rooftops,

They’re breaking through windows and doors.

They’re hiding in your furniture…

and inside your favorite foods.

They’re climbing on your walls,

and literally, lurking around every corner.

image

They’re making alliances with other menacing creatures.

And they’re doing things unexpected…evil things.

Grown men have tried to hold them back, and failed.

Be safe, humans. There’s no escape. Especially, if you look them directly in the (big adorable) eyes.  Then, your heart will melt, and belong to them. Forever.

13 Chocolate Barks with a Bite

1

image

Chocolate bark. Truly one of the easiest chocolates to make, and yet, one of the most satisfying. My favorite part of this confection is its versatility. Simply take your favorite chocolate, and add in your favorite ingredients- nuts, caramel, peanut butter, marshmallows, candy, cookies, dried fruit, pretzels, bacon…the possibilities are endless.

Personally, I like a bark that combines different textures, and dueling flavors, such as dried tart cherries with salted pistachios, or chewy caramel with crunchy pretzels.

Take a look at these 13 flavor combinations. There’s a bark to suit everyone’s taste.

What’s your favorite combo?
