If you’ve never made Cake Pops before, the basic pop is quite simple.

You will need:

  • A box of cake mix
  • A can of frosting
  • Lollipop sticks
  • A block of styrofoam

Here is the short version:

  1. Bake a cake mix according to the directions on the box.
  2. Crumble cool cake in a bowl.
  3. Add 3/4 of a can of frosting to the crumbs. Mix well.
  4. Roll mixture into balls.
  5. Refrigerate cake balls a few hours, until balls are firm.
  6. Insert the tip of a stick into melted candy melts.
  7. Now insert the stick into the cake ball.
  8. Dip the cake pop into the melted candy melts.
  9. (Optional) Decorate wth sprinkles or nuts.
  10. Place cake pops in a block of styrofoam to dry.
Boo-tiful!
