The Best 13 Chocolate Cereals Ranked

National Cereal Day

Flakes and Puffs, Krispies and Crunches, most of us can agree that there’s just something satisfying about cereal.┬á

The experience starts in the grocery store. As I wander down the cereal aisle, scouting the brightly colored boxes, flaunting teethy-grinned cartoon mascots and promises of magical prizes hiding inside, I can’t help feeling a bit nostalgic. As a kid, there was nothing more enjoyable, than hunkering down in front of the television with an overflowing bowl of cereal, watching Saturday morning cartoons. Most of the time, Mom tried to keep us on the healthier side of the kid-cereal-spectrum, stocking the pantry with Cheerios or Rice Krispies. But, every once and a while, my brothers and I would catch a break. A sale. A coupon. A shopping trip with Dad. Eureka-Hello marshmallows for breakfast.

As much as I indulge in chocolate, I still have to adult-it up most the time with blander, grown-up choices. But, every once and a while, I find an excuse. A sale, a coupon, or the kids go shopping trip with Grandpa┬áand then it’s, “Good morning, Count Chocula. Now let’s watch cartoons.”

In honor of National Cereal Day, we’re counting down the top chocolate cereals in the US. Rankings have been determined by customer reviews. It should be noted that all of these cereals ranked high with customers, averaging 4 stars and up. Seems to me, kids and kids-at-heart, adore their chocolate cereal.
