13 Chocolate Recipes for Mother’s Day Brunch

A mother is a parent, a teacher, a cook, a nurse, a referee, a counselor, a friend,…and so much more. But, above all she has been your guardian angel— from the moment she met you.

Mother’s Day is a time to say thank you.(Although, we need not discount the other 364 opportunities.)

In my family, celebration goes hand in hand with food. And if we’re honoring Mom, a little chocolate can go a long way.

Here are some elegant recipes for a perfect Mother’s Day Brunch. Pancakes, Pastries, Bread Pudding, Tarts, Rolls, Fruit— all with Mom’s favorite indulgence. Chocolate.

And for all those self-less acts Mom gave throughout your life…be sure to save her the last piece of pie.

Sweet Heaven on Earth

Just when you thought you couldn’t endure another foodie holiday, Chocolate Caramel Day sneaks upon us.  Now, if you can resist this great ball of chocolate, being seduced by rich, warm caramel, then one would gather that you have the self control of a super hero.

No surprise, chocolate is my weakness.  And laced with flowing, liquid gold, it momentarily becomes my new best friend.

So though I know my thighs will resent me for it, I declare to chocoholics everywhere, that the entire weekend be devoted to a chocolate and caramel celebration.  Too much of a good thing?  Try slathering apple slices into this blissful combination. Apples.  Healthy.  You’re welcome.

In case you need some direction. Or, just want to drool…
